Hey everyone,
I run a small art account on Instagram and after months of barely growing, I caved and bought 1,000 followers from a site that offers cheap bulk packages. It cost me like $12.
Not gonna lie — they look fairly normal (not eggs or weird usernames), and my follower count jumped overnight.
Has anyone else done this? Do you think it's harmful long-term, or okay just to kickstart visibility?
Hey! I did the exact same thing with my art page — bought 1,000 followers from instagram followers bulk cheap for around $12, and honestly, I was surprised. The followers looked pretty normal and it gave my profile a more “established” look, which helped attract real followers too. I haven’t noticed any negative effects so far. I think if you're using it just to kickstart visibility and not relying on it forever, it's fine. Just keep posting quality content and engaging with your real audience. Anyone else have long-term experience with this?
Interesting thread.
I’ve been thinking about this too, especially since the Instagram algorithm favors “popular” pages. Buying bulk followers seems risky if you care about engagement rates, but maybe helpful if you just want to break the 1k barrier.
Did you notice any issues like shadowbanning or drop-off in reach,
